Signed Exchanges (SGX) meaning in English

Signed Exchanges (SGX)

What are Signed Exchanges (SGX)?

Signed Exchanges (SGX) allow sites and search engines such as Google to prefetch content from a web-page whilst preserving user privacy, speeding up the amount of time it takes to download a resource.

SGX can be used for both AMP and non-AMP websites, allowing browsers to prefetch resources such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and web fonts.

In September 2021 CloudFlare announced users on paid plans can join the waitlist for an SGX service.
